We may have the game awards to thank because Nintendo just dropped three outstanding Nintendo 64 Classics on the NSO N64 app in the form of 1080 Snowboarding, Harvest Moon 64, and Jet Force Gemini.
1080 Snowboarding was absolutely phenomenal for its time as an entry into what would be Nintendo’s limited foray into “Nintendo Sports.” The game gave players a great sense of speed and was mainly focused on delivering a realistic Snowboarding experience. I remember sinking countless hours into this one.
Harvest Moon 64 is often referred to as the best entry in the Harvest Moon series (although the Super NES version may give it a run for its money. Harvest Moon 64 is the series in its purest form and is a great game in its own right.
Jet Force Gemini was Rare’s answer to Starship Troopers, creating a space epic that sees you as one of three playable characters blasting your way through hordes of ant-like aliens. I remember the control scheme being a bit tricky, but I’m confident this one will adapt to the Switch well.
