COOWPS 15-in-1 Switch 2 Pro Controller Accessories Bundle Review
A few months ago, you might remember me checking out the COOWPS P2 case for the Switch 2, which turned out to be a fantastic product with some great features. Now, peripheral brand COOWPS has sent over an accessories bundle to take a look at, and with my wife just getting a Switch 2, the timing could not be better. This time, it is a full 15-in-1 accessory pack, covering everything from protection and storage to controller add-ons and comfort upgrades. But the real question is simple. Does packing everything into one bundle actually make for a better experience, or does it end up feeling like a box of extras you will never really use? What’s it Like? Put on your screen protectors, charge your controller, and clip on your new case as we take a look at the COOWPS 15-in-1 Switch 2 Pro Controller Accessories Bundle.

So, in the quiet words of Brad Pitt, what’s in the box? The COOWPS 15-in-1 Switch 2 Pro Controller Accessories Bundle includes: one Switch carrying case, one Switch 2 aftermarket Pro Controller (with charging cable), two tempered glass screen protectors, one Switch protective case, two Joy-Con grips, two Joy-Con steering wheels, four thumb grip caps, and a 24-slot game card case. On paper, there is a lot on offer for the asking price. But as you know, none of that means much if it does not perform. So we put everything to the test here through some rigorous gaming.
First off, I really liked the inclusion of two tempered glass screen protectors in the pack. Having worked at EB Games and now as a dad with two Switch gaming kids, I can confidently say these are the kind of accessories I swear by. It is always far cheaper to replace a screen protector than it is to replace a console screen. Now, most of us older gamers tend to be fairly gentle with our kit, but I must have replaced around eight or nine screen protectors between my two kids over the past five years alone. So having spares included here is a genuinely smart addition. Placing the screen protector was simple, and despite misaligning it initially, it didn’t shatter when I gently repositioned it, which was great.
The next main thing I wanted to test was the Pro Controller. Usually, with these kits, the controllers are of a fairly cost-efficient build, and sometimes they do not respond to inputs as accurately as the more expensive options. That said, it gets the same treatment in testing as anything that had the potential to be mounted in the Armoury. Initially, the analogue sticks did feel a bit more stiff compared to my Switch 2 Pro Controller, so it took a few minutes to adjust to. Standard gaming in Aussie Made Dinkum worked perfectly, no hitches or missed inputs. I decided to test out some Fortnite for response and shooting, and I was pleasantly surprised with the performance there, no complaints, input lag, missed inputs, or anything like that.
So then I decided to really smash the controller with some Street Fighter 6, the hallmark of D-pad and input testing. I played a full round of arcade initially using the sticks, which worked fine, then switched to smashing the D-pad. Interestingly enough, despite the D-pad sticking out a bit more prominently on the controller, which caused a bit of discomfort on my thumb after half an hour, it did not miss inputs. The only minor point was accidentally hitting the home button, which is rather large and prominent in the centre of the controller. Aside from that, the controller performed much better than I expected.
Aside from the Pro Controller, the other accessory I was looking forward to was the protective case for the Switch 2 console in handheld mode. I still use my COOWPS P2 and I swear by it. This case is like a lite version of the P2, adding extra comfort on the Joy-Cons, minus the magnetic ring for battery packs and the heavy-duty kickstand. This means it uses the Switch 2 kickstand and has a much lighter design. Because of this, it is easy to remove and put back on, although much like the COOWPS P2, you can dock your system without removing the case at all. As a matter of fact, the only time you will need to remove it is when packing it into the travel case itself, which has room for your Pro Controller, Switch console, dock, and all the accessories, should you want to take them with you. The travel case is solidly built and will easily protect your gear. I actually purchased a much more expensive case on Switch 2’s launch, and the build quality is pretty much the same. The only thing I would have loved is to be able to keep the protective case on when packing the Switch 2 console in there. It is a minor complaint, as the case is easy to remove, but it should be noted.
Also included are three different controller accessories: the Joy-Con comfort grip, Joy-Con wheel, and thumb grip caps.
The Joy-Con comfort grips were surprisingly great and much more comfortable than just using a single controller by itself. I tested out some Mario Wonder and then gave my kids the controllers to test out as well, which they liked.
The Joy-Con steering wheels felt more like a gimmick for me. Product-wise, there is nothing wrong with them at all, but I just do not use gyro controls. Still, we gave them a test on Mario Kart World, and the kids did not seem to mind them.
There is also a game card case, which locks your cartridges in safe and sound, and also includes micro SD card holders.
Finally, the thumbstick grips add a bit of silicone tactile bumps to the Joy-Con analogue sticks, which felt fine too.
When it comes to the asking price of $100 AUD, or $71 USD, I decided to dig into the value compared to purchasing all of these items individually. I researched and compared them against comparable products. The Pro Controller at around $50 AUD, Joy-Con grips $19, wheels $19, screen protectors $30 for two, protective case $40, thumb grips $14, and the travel case $59 would bring the total retail value to around $230 AUD. Now, removing the items I personally would not use, like the thumb stick grips and wheels, still brings that value down to around $190 AUD. So you are still saving a fair bit of money if you are looking for an all-in-one kit for your Switch 2.
As a complete starter kit, especially for a new Switch 2 owner, it does its job well. If you have a new Switch 2 and want to put together a complete kit without hurting your bank account, this is a great way to save some extra money, which you can then put aside for something like a micro SD card. For the asking price, you are getting a full setup that gets you playing, protected, and travel-ready straight away. It is not aiming to replace premium individual accessories, but it does not need to. For the price and for the convenience of having everything in one package, it is an easy recommendation for casual players and families.
