During the Genkidamatsuri event, it was announced that DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero will receive new content through a DLC set to release later this year.
Alongside new characters, which will be revealed at a later date, the DLC will include new costumes, stages, and modes. Confirmed characters include Super 17, Bardock (Super Saiyan), and King Piccolo.
The theme song for the DLC will be performed by Hironobu Kageyama, marking his first contribution to the Dragon Ball Z: Sparking! series in 18 years. Kageyama himself handled both the lyrics and composition, promising a powerful track that matches the intensity of battles in Sparking! Zero.
The first new mode, “Mission 100”, will be available as a free update. This solo mode features 100 battles with specific conditions for both your team and your opponents, similar to a mode from DRAGON BALL Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Another free update coming this spring will add a “Survival Mode”. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions will begin receiving DLC from the Season Pass this winter, with additional content planned for later.
