Witches and Wizards rejoice as Warner Bros. and Portkey Games have confirmed that the Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy will have a special upgrade price for people who own the Switch version of the game. The price is listed at $14.95 over here in Australia and has brought relief to many players who thought it would be sold as a full-price standalone game due to the significant development that has gone into both versions.
In an interesting twist, the Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t follow the Switch 2 upgrade system, instead offering Witches and Wizards an 83% discount on enrollment instead, most likely due to the significant engine changes from the Switch 1 version.
Today’s news is a welcome one, and I know many Witches and Wizards will be returning to Hogwarts when the Switch 2 launches on June 5th.
