How to Get to Titania in Star Fox
Titania is one of the hidden planets in Star Fox, and it’s easy to miss if you don’t know exactly how the game’s branching paths work. Unlike some alternate routes that reward high scores or perfect flying, reaching Titania requires you to make a very specific decision during one of the game’s boss fights. If you’re looking to unlock the desert planet, here’s the quickest way to get there.
How to Reach Sector X
Before you can reach Titania, you’ll first need to make your way to Sector X. When you finish Corneria, you can take either path through the stage. Once you reach the map screen, simply choose Meteo. While it’s possible to use the warp in Meteo to take an alternate route, ignore it if your goal is Titania. Instead, complete the mission normally to reach Fichina. On Fichina, it doesn’t matter whether you successfully defend the base or fail the mission. Either outcome will send you to Sector X.

Corneria → Meteo → Fichina → Sector X
How to Unlock Titania
Once you arrive at Sector X, play through the mission until you reach the boss, Spyborg. Destroy Spyborg’s eyes to trigger the second phase, but don’t finish the fight straight away. Instead, wait for Slippy to fly in and allow Spyborg to swat him out of the sky. It goes against every instinct to leave a teammate behind, but that’s exactly what you need to do. After Slippy has been knocked down to the planet below, destroy Spyborg and complete the mission as normal. When the mission ends, the next map screen will send you to Titania instead of Macbeth.
Allowing Slippy to be knocked down during the Sector X boss fight is the only way to reach Titania. If you rescue him before Spyborg attacks, you’ll continue along the standard route to Macbeth instead. While this route is often considered part of the game’s easier path, it’s also one of the best examples of Star Fox’s storytelling. The team’s reaction to losing Slippy gives the next mission a real sense of purpose, making the rescue on Titania feel like a natural part of the adventure rather than just another hidden level.
Titania is one of the optional planets in Star Fox’s branching campaign, making it well worth visiting if you’re trying to experience everything the game has to offer. Whether you’re aiming to complete every route, see every level, or simply revisit one of the game’s classic stages, Titania is an important stop that many players miss on their first playthrough.
