How to Visit Dream Islands and Cloud Islands in Pokopia (Including the Developer’s Island!)
Pokopia is surprisingly huge in scope, and has hidden worlds waiting to be explored. These are in the form of Dream Islands and Cloud Islands, full of things to discover, resources to grab, and even legendary Pokémon if you know how to get there. Thankfully, this guide will show you how to do both, as well as access an amazing developer’s island that’s full of some incredible build ideas for inspiration. Now, you’re in a hurry, and I don’t want you drifting off to sleep with a long-winded intro, so let’s dive right into the guide.

Dream Islands
Dream Islands are special, randomised islands that give you a chance to gather rare resources and even encounter legendary Pokémon. These Pokémon can be convinced to live in your world, dramatically increasing your habitat level. You can also collect items like Stardust, which lets you create and gift Star Pieces to Pokémon in other players’ worlds. This allows you to receive a gift in return and even replicate that Pokémon into your own world to help complete your Pokédex.
How to Unlock Dream Islands
Find Drifloon in the beach area between your Pokémon Centre in Withered Wasteland and the cave where you find Onyx.
Talk to Drifloon, who will give you a plan for its habitat called “Riding Warm Updrafts.”
Build three fireplaces next to each other, then get Charmander to light them.
Return to Drifloon to let it know it now has a place to live. Drifloon will head to its new habitat, and you can talk to it again to complete the quest.
After completing this, Drifloon may tell you it is lonely and reminisce about playing with humans when they were still around. It will mention Pokédolls. If you already have a Pokédoll, Drifloon will automatically initiate the option to take you to a Dream Island. If you don’t have one, they can be found around the world as decorations or in glowing blocks as item drops.
The type of Pokédoll you use determines the island you visit:
Ditto and substitute dolls will take you to a random Dream Island.
Arcanine → Volcanic Dream Island
Clefairy → Rock Peak Dream Island
Dragonite → Sky Dream Island
Eevee → Wasteland Dream Island
Pikachu → Ocean Dream Island
Tips for Visiting
Make sure you have space in your inventory before departing, and you can only visit one Dream Island per real-life day, so choose wisely. Players who are comfortable with time travel can use that to visit more frequently. Feel free to explore the island, collect items, and enjoy the scenery. If you get stuck or want to return home, use the Return Home prompt on your Pokédex. This will safely take you back to Drifloon.
Cloud Islands
Cloud Islands work a little differently from Dream Islands. They are more like the Animal Crossing Dream Islands concept. You can explore them freely, but you cannot change them or bring anything back with you. These islands are usually shared among friends so they can explore each other’s creations.
How to Access Cloud Islands
Head to a PC near your closest Pokémon Centre.
Buy the Mysterious Goggles from the shop. These are required to visit Cloud Islands.
Open your inventory, interact with the goggles, and press A to put them on.
The game will prompt you to enter an address to visit an island.
If you do not have many island addresses yet, a great option is to check out the developer’s Cloud Island. Use the code PXQC G03S to visit a unique island with some crazy builds that are perfect for inspiration.
