LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Brings Gotham’s Hero to Nintendo Switch 2 This September
After Batman’s last outing on Nintendo Switch, it’s fair to say Gotham deserves better. Thankfully, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks ready to answer the Bat-Signal when it launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18, 2026.
Warner Bros. Games has confirmed that the critically acclaimed open-world adventure is heading to Nintendo’s new console, with pre-orders available now for both the Standard Edition ($109.95) and Deluxe Edition ($139.95). The launch will also coincide with the release of the Mayhem Collection DLC. This expansion introduces a new Mayhem Mode and adds The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters. Nintendo Switch 2 Deluxe Edition owners will receive the content at launch.
Nintendo Switch 2 Deluxe Edition owners will receive:
A free LEGO Retro Video Game Batman Minifigure (physical editions only, while supplies last)
The Legacy Collection DLC, featuring new suits, vehicles, and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham series, Batman Beyond, and a party music-themed pack
The Mayhem Collection DLC, which includes Mayhem Mode, playable Joker and Harley Quinn characters, a new story mission, the Sinister Pack with seven new suits, five Batcave items, and a new Batmobile
Players who pre-order either the Standard or Deluxe Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 will also receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch, inspired by the acclaimed comic book series.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an all-new open-world action-adventure game that follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from his earliest days to becoming Gotham City’s legendary protector. The original story draws inspiration from decades of Batman films, television series, comics, and video games, while mixing in plenty of DC references and LEGO humour.
