MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is now available on Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2, bringing a team-based twist to the classic board game set across the Star Wars galaxy.
Developed by Behavior Interactive, the game features a custom MONOPOLY board inspired by the Star Wars universe and reimagines the traditional gameplay with new mechanics, locations, and character abilities. Players can explore 22 iconic locations spanning multiple Star Wars eras while choosing from a roster of 28 heroes and villains. Each character features one of 14 unique abilities that can influence the outcome of a match. Rather than earning victory through wealth alone, players compete for Influence Points by purchasing and upgrading properties. Dynamic GO Events can dramatically change the flow of a game by awarding or deducting significant Influence Points, while a new Battle System triggers a dice challenge whenever opposing players land on the same space, with control of the location on the line. The game also introduces cinematic moments and special board tiles designed to keep every match unpredictable.
MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains supports both online and local multiplayer with 2v2 and 3v3 modes, turning the classic board game into a strategic team-based showdown where coordination and teamwork play a key role. Each match offers new opportunities to adapt, outplay opponents, and experience the Star Wars galaxy in a new way. Board game nights at my house have ended with plenty of friendly rivalries over the years.
