Just four days after its worldwide launch on 5th June, the Nintendo Switch 2 has already broken records, selling over 3.5 million units across the globe. This milestone makes it the fastest-selling Nintendo system in the company’s history.
“In addition to upgraded features, Nintendo Switch 2 offers new ways for people to connect and play together,” said Takuro Horie, Managing Director of Nintendo Australia. “We are grateful for the response it has already received, and we hope players will continue to enjoy the new experiences offered.”
The console launched alongside Mario Kart World, the most ambitious entry in the series to date. Featuring an interconnected world map, dynamic weather, and races with up to 24 drivers at once, it’s already proving to be a system seller. Looking ahead, Donkey Kong Bananza, a brand-new 3D platforming adventure, will swing onto Nintendo Switch 2 on 17th July, giving players the chance to smash, bash, and barrel roll through an all-new action-packed world.
With such a strong start, the Switch 2’s future looks bright!
