No Man’s Sky Echoes Announced – Capes on Switch!
In celebration of No Man’s Sky making 7 trips around (our) sun, the team at Hello Games has announced “Echoes” which officially launched today (The update will hopefully arrive by the 28th on Switch.)
The update adds some incredible set pieces to the already rapidly expanding galaxy that includes pirate frigates, death star-style trench runs, and a new playable race of Robots. Players will be able to uncover the story behind this new race by embarking on a new 5 week long expedition, as well as decommissioning multitools and creating their own unique staff which you can use for both mining and combat.
That’s not all, however, as the Nintendo Switch System also receives some extra love in the forms of sharper graphics and smoother framerates due thanks to “A highly customised version of AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2), tailored specifically for No Man’s Sky on Switch, now provides higher image quality for Switch players. This temporal upscaling technology has been combined with dynamic resolution scaling to offer not only a boost to visual quality, but also improved and smoother framerates.”
Switch players will now also be able to wear capes, a feature that has been strangely missing since launch. Capes can be customized and donned for all races, including Vaikeen.
