No Man’s Sky Expedition 19: Corvette Fast Finish Guide

Share:

It’s time to head back to the stars, Travellers, as HelloGames has announced a new expedition which is finally live on the Switch 2. This time, we are building Corvette-class ships in the aptly named “Corvette” expedition. Now, this is a fast finish guide, so not everything will be in order. I made mistakes, so you don’t have to. No time for a long-winded intro, let’s dive right in.

Ok, before we begin, remember you can lower a lot of difficulty settings in order to breeze through the expedition a bit easier. This guide assumes you don’t have anything to bring along, so there are no prerequisites to start. If you’re starting a new save, be sure to use your inventory expansion slots to build up your inventory. If you have a pre-existing save, I recommend hanging on to a few of these modules to bolster your suit and ship when you finish the expedition. Head to the anomaly and go to the expedition computer in the main landing area. If you aren’t able to start the new expedition, check that the outbox on the screen is empty from the previous expedition. If there are items there, collect them, exit the computer, then reactivate the computer to start Corvette.

Initialise the Expedition.

You will awaken on a strange planet. Head towards your starship. Unlike previous Expeditions, you won’t be able to repair this one. Instead, jump into the cockpit and intercept a call, which will give you plans for a new teleport device that will take you to the closest Space Station. It’s time to get some resources. We will need Oxygen from oxygen-rich plants and metal plating made from Ferrite dust for the portable refiner, and Copper, which can be found using your visor to make chromatic metal for the teleporter. Thankfully, there are a lot of outcrops of oxygen-rich plants. Harvest as much as you can, then find Copper, which can be harvested with your terrain manipulation tool. Craft your metal plating, then a portable refiner by pressing up on the D-pad. Then refine your copper to make chromatic metal. Craft your teleporter in your inventory and use it to escape to the nearest space station. This will tick off A Link to the Stars, which is your first milestone. Now we get to build our first Corvette. To the front of the station is a series of teleporters. The first one will take you to the new Corvette Workshop, where you can build and buy parts. If you redeem your reward from your first milestone, you will have enough parts to start! Build your Corvette, then place the Mission Radar to achieve the Ship Architecture milestone.

Take off into space and look for a planet that has “Salvagable Scrap.” There’s a Hiemel planet in the same system that suits our needs for this, and it’s also a great time to test out the Autopilot. Press down on the D-pad and select “Maintain Current Course” then just stand around for 30 seconds for the Cruising milestone to complete. You can also then stop your ship, open the back cargo hold and drift out in space to unlock the Extravehicular Milestone. Now, just as you approach the planet and its says “beginning sub-orbital flight” level out your ship and leave your seat, we are going to take the long way down by skydiving out of the cargo hold. If you fall for 60 seconds, you will unlock the Stardiving milestone. Land on the planet (fall damage won’t kill you here!) and use your visor to uncover some modules. Use your visor to uncover 5 modules; this will unlock the “Salvaging” Milestone. While you’re on this planet, keep your eyes peeled for activated copper. We will need a lot of chromatic metal to repair our frigates’ warp drive. Once you have the Copper, refine it and create 3 microprocessors and use the leftover chromatic metal to repair your warp drive. Summon your Corvette and then head to the stars and start warping towards Rendezvous 1!

After your first warp, you will unlock the Can’t Take the Sky milestone, and you may also unlock Flightpath, which will automatically tick off during your journey as you travel. If you are scanned and attacked by Sentinels, defeat 3 in your Corvette for the Anarchy Milestone. Your flightpath may take you through an outlaw system, which will unlock Off The Radar (Don’t worry if you don’t cross one yet, this will be a step we do towards the end). Once you arrive in the 1st Rendezvous system, you will end up in an asteroid field. This is a good time to mine silver for your internal Corvette components, but also destroying 40 asteroids will unlock the Heavyweight milestone. Head to the space station in the Rendezvous system and go to the Station core, activate the computer to complete the Rendezvous 1 milestone and Phase 1 of the expedition!

Let’s head to Station 2 for Rendezvous. Do that mase as you did before to unlock the Resist 2 Milestone. Now would be a great time to edit your Corvette. Add some more walkways and increase its size a little to achieve the Advance: Expand milestone. I recommend placing some living walls, as we will need them in the future. An easy one to plant would be Gravatino hosts in each bay. You will be able to buy or refine most materials without getting your hands dirty. Plant them and continue on with the expedition. Along the way, you may be using your pulse engines through space. If you are prompted to exit Pulse to see an anomaly, do so to unlock the Dwarfed Milstone. Now, in the same system as the 2nd Station Rendezvous, there is a Veridescent planet, land on that to unlock the Grounded milestone. If you have the milestone, it will say land on a Viridian planet, but you can ignore this, as they are both similar and complete the objective. Install the pre-packaged fishing rig that you just received. Start looking for a body of water, and since this planet is also dissonant, engage corrupt sentinels and scan 3 creatures for the Undying Horde and  Living Things milestones. Once you catch 3 fish, you will hit the Proteins From the Sea milestone. Keep one fish in your inventory. If you have scuffled with the Sentinels, you will most likely have an Echo Locator in your inventory; use that to locate a Harmonic Camp. Once there, claim the Multitool for the Reclaimed Weaponry milestone. Head back to your Corvette and install a Nutrition Unit. Cook a fish to tick off the Fresh Rations milestone. It’s time to finally leave this planet. Head to the 3rd Rendezvous.

Once in the Rendezvous system, head to the space station and feel free to tidy up your inventory. Upload your details to the station computer for the Resist 3 milestone, and then back to the Corvette station to do some tweaking. Strap some more engines onto it to achieve the Advance: Move milestone, and also complete Phase 3. Take a photo of your baby now using photo mode to complete Aperture. Check to see if all of your plants inside the ship have grown, and harvest them to achieve the Silent Runner milestone and Phase 2! Head to rendezvous 4. Once there, Imprint on the station computer for Resist IV, and then head back to your corvette to do some customising. First, you will have 2 shield modules as a reward, and we will have to trade modules for the 3rd. Once you have traded modules and achieved the Advance: Defend milestone, you then need to install additional weapons to have 3 total for the Advance: Destroy Milestone. Now, you can sell them after claiming the milestone, then purchase another 2 reactors and do the same to unlock the Advance: Heart milestone, or you can wait until the next rendezvous to get a reactor as a reward. Now, buy a wiring loom and install a conflict scanner in your ship. Let’s jump to an Outlaw system on the way to the next rendezvous point. Just warping to the system will give you the Off The Radar Milestone, head to the outlaw station, speak to the contraband agent, and then head back to your ship to hightail it to the Rendezvous 5 station.

Head to the 5th Rendezvous station and activate the computer. This will complete the Resist V milestone. If you didn’t purchase reactors previously, install the rewards to complete the Advance: Heart milestone. Also, sell your contraband goods to complete the Under Their Noses milestone. Before we leave the station to complete the final few objectives, we will need to install an emergency warp drive in our ship. This uses a microprocessor, gold, and a warp cell. Install it, but don’t use it yet. Instead, head to the nearest planet with sentinels. We are going to do a lot of fighting here. Basically, you want to defeat all the sentinels and max out your wanted level until a walker appears. Destroy the walker, which resets the sentinel level and unlocks the One, Zero milestone. Head up into space. As soon as you break the atmosphere, press down on your D-pad, go to utilities, and select emergency warp. This will complete the Fast Scramble and  Phase 4. Only one more objective to go! Enter your pulse drive, and use the Emergency Signal Scanner. Once it attunes, exit pulse and board the derelict frigate. You will have to explore the frigate in order to complete the final Spacewreck milestone, Phase 5, and the entire Expedition!

We made it! Don’t forget to head back to the anomaly to end the expedition and cash in your rewards. If you saved your storage modules, remember to take them with you! If the guide helped, feel free to comment, like and subscribe. I’ll see you among the stars, Travellers!
