Nintendo has announced a dedicated Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Direct, set to air this Friday, 30 January at 1:00am AEDT.
The presentation will run for roughly 20 minutes and will focus entirely on the upcoming Tomodachi Life entry coming to Nintendo Switch. While details are light for now, this Direct should give us a clearer look at what Living the Dream brings to the table, including new features, gameplay footage, and a better sense of how the series is evolving on modern hardware.

I have to admit, this is one Nintendo series I have somehow completely missed over the years. Tomodachi Life has always looked a little strange, a little charming, and very much its own thing. Because of that, I am genuinely curious to finally see what all the fuss is about. If this Direct does a good job of explaining the appeal and showing how the concept works on Switch, this might be the perfect excuse to jump in for the first time.
