Upcoming Cozy Games for Switch

Share:

While I love my strategy, racers, and shooters, nothing beats sitting down with a cuppa and chilling out with some cozy games in bed. I frequent the worlds of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, and love building, crafting, and taking it easy from time to time. Cozy Games are a very popular genre, and Switch owners have been blessed with an outstanding range of titles over the past few years. But today, we are looking forward to some…

Upcoming Cozy Games for Switch

Paleo Pines

Palio Pines is what would happen if you mix Stardew Valley with Prehistory in a Dinosaur Rancher game. You are accompanied by your Dinosaur pal “Lucky” as you build a new home, search for lost friends, and go on a journey of discovery and adventure. The game will see you build your own Dino Ranch where you can befriend new dinosaurs who will assist with things on the farm including Flinstone Style plowing of fields. There are other townsfolk who you can interact and trade with, and also get quests from. It looks stunningly beautiful with a stunning colour palette similar to what we’ve seen in Everdream Valley. The concept of Palio Pines has me so excited for this one. A must for Cozy and Dinosaur fans!

Palia

Palia is touted as “Animal Crossing meets World of Warcraft,” Palia is a free-to-play MMO Cozy game bustling to the brim with features. You can create a home that is uniquely yours, explore a massive world, and partake in adventures. You can fish, craft, build furniture, and much more. Palia promises to constantly update and release content as the lifecycle of the game moves on meaning players will constantly be engaged with new things to do in every update. There’s a lot of buzz on this one as it’s currently in closed beta and Palia is shaping up to be an amazing world to get lost in.

Fae Farm

Fae Farm is a gorgeous 1 -4 player farming adventure set in a vibrant world. Players can fish, build, and farm, but on top of that they can also level up their magical abilities and adventure in this medieval world. You can hone your abilities in crafting potions and cooking, explore the mysteries of the island, or just kick back with friends. You can fully customize your home and farm and the game’s seasonal system unlocks new areas and wonders to explore. The game looks like the fan-favourite 3DS title, Fantasy Life, and I’m sure is going to be a huge hit when it launches on Switch later this year!

My Time at Sandrock

My Time at Sandrock is the much-anticipated follow-up to My Time at Portia which has been enjoyed by many Switch players, myself included. The game is massive and promises over 60 hours of gameplay which involves building your own workshop and helping improve the town, romancing NPC’s, and settling down to start a family. There is a multiplayer mode coming after launch which will add to the already numerous activities which include cowboy-style gunfights, treasure hunting, and crafting new blueprints. The game features an ever-changing world which is sure to keep players engaged during the 60-hour playthrough.

Loftia

Loftia was announced on Kickstarter this week and was fully funded in 2 hours! It is a cozy game set in a warm, solarpunk world. You can have pets, complete community projects, and work on sustainable farming. I personally love the look of Loftia, its cute, almost chibi-style art direction, perfectly encapsulates the warm and bright feeling of the world of Loftia. You can still back the Kickstarter should you wish, but there is a little bit of a wait as Switch owners won’t be able to inhabit Loftia until 2025.

Are you a cozy games fan? Let me know what game you’re looking forward to the most, and if I missed a cozy game on your radar, please reach out so I can cover it. Until next time gamers, happy farming and stay cozy!
