WWE 2K26 Update Brings Gameplay Changes, New Moves, and Faster Progression

As the Road to WrestleMania 42 continues, several new updates for WWE 2K26 have been announced.

With WrestleMania fast approaching, the focus turns to the Superstars, Legends, and unforgettable moments that helped shape the event into the “Greatest Spectacle in Sports Entertainment.” WWE 2K26 is leaning into that legacy, giving players more ways to relive iconic matches and create their own WrestleMania moments. To mark the launch of Ringside Pass Season 2 on April 15, players will have new opportunities to catch up and progress faster. Starting today, all current and future players will receive enough RXP for Ringside Pass Season 1 to unlock 20 tiers. This will be added within 24 hours of logging in.

Players who have installed the game, linked a 2K account, and played before April 15, 2026 at 4:59 PM AEDT will also receive enough RXP to unlock 20 tiers in Ringside Pass Season 2 when it launches.

Progression is also being adjusted moving forward. The required RXP per tier in Season 2 will drop from 800 to 625, and it will not increase in future seasons. Consumable RXP Boosts are also being increased in value.

Beginning with Season 2, all four DLC characters included in future Ringside Pass Premium Seasons will be available at Tier 1. Premium Pass players will be able to unlock them immediately from the Ringside Pass menu when each season launches.

Alongside these changes, Patch 1.07 is now live across all platforms, bringing a range of gameplay improvements, balance updates, and new content.

The stamina system has been adjusted so that costs increase more gradually throughout a match, reducing the chances of becoming winded early. Reversals will also consume less stamina when facing multiple opponents.

Other gameplay tweaks include an increased damage threshold to prevent instant disqualifications when attacking a referee.

New moves have also been added, including Chelsea Green’s Cradle Flatliner and Blake Monroe’s Glamour Shot Finisher.

The Island mode has received further enhancements, including the ability to Prestige directly from the Training menu, along with a limited-time 2x VC event for PvP matches running from March 30 to April 15.

Additional updates across the Creation Suite, Universe, MyFACTION, MyRISE, and The Island are also included.
